Unlike its extremely popular and easily accessible neighbour Jökulsárlón Lagoon, Fjallsárlón Lagoon in East Coast Iceland, is just as impressive. Branching off out of Öræfajökull Glacier, Fjallsjökull Glacier falls off into this very quiet and stunning Lagoon. Lots of opportunities here to capture some great images without many people around.
Captured this reflection image of Fríkirkjan í Reykjavík Church and The National Gallery of Iceland on Lake Tjörnin, as sunset cast a warm glow in downtown Reykjavík. Standing In the background is the landmark church Hallgrimskirkja.
The Saga of Children's Falls. The story tells of two children in the Hraunsás household who were supposed to stay home while the parents went to church for Christmas Mass. When the parents returned from mass, they discovered that the children had disappeared. They then followed the children’s tracks to this waterfall at the stone natural bridge where the tracks disappeared. The mother concluded that the children must have fallen into the river and drowned. Then, the mother put a spell on the bridge saying that nobody would ever cross it without drowning. A little while later, the bridge was destroyed by an earthquake.
