Ruddy Turnstone with its bright orange legs, unique spiny feet and short, sharply curved claws holding on to some barnacles attached to a lava rock. Image taken during low tide on the coast of Fernandina Island, Galapagos.
Endemic to Espanola Island (Galapagos), I captured this fearless Hood Mockingbird singing a beautiful tune. The Hood Mockingbird is the only species of Galapagos mockingbird that Charles Darwin did not see or collect on the voyage of the Beagle.
Captured this image of a Northern Barred Owl perched in a tree, just off the roadside, near my home in Port Perry, Canada.
