Beautiful Kapok Tree overhanging the Napo River, near El Pilche, Ecudor. The Kapok is a massive Amazon Tree, up to 250 feet tall and 10 feet wide. The Kichwa people say the root system of the Kapoks are interconnected, so if you were ever lost in the jungle, to bang on the trunk of the tree, so their people could locate you.
